Protecting your information

You will be able to choose between encryption in transit only and encryption of all information both in transit and at rest. MediaKnow permissions will control access to your content.

How Tailscale encryption works
  1. Get an invitation

    Ask your organization’s administrator for Tailscale access and a MediaKnow account.

  2. Install and connect Tailscale

    Sign in with the account that received the invitation and connect to your organization’s network.

  3. Open MediaKnow

    Open the app and sign in with your MediaKnow credentials.

Choose your operating system.

Windows

Download and run the installer. Open Tailscale in the system tray and sign in with your invited account.

Android

Install the app from Google Play. Sign in with your invited account and allow the VPN connection.

iPhone / iPad

Install the app from the App Store. Sign in with your invited account and allow the VPN configuration.

Other systems

Open the official download page, choose your system, and follow the installation instructions.

Installing Tailscale alone does not grant access. A new personal Tailscale network is not the MediaKnow network — use your administrator’s invitation.

Before you start

A few answers

Why can’t I open the app?

Check that Tailscale is connected to the correct network and that your administrator has granted access. DNS settings or a temporary service outage may also be the cause. If you are connected, contact your administrator.

Do I need to sign in to MediaKnow separately?

Yes. Tailscale provides the network connection. To work with content, you also need to sign in to MediaKnow using an account created by your administrator.

Can I use my phone?

Yes. Install Tailscale for Android or iPhone/iPad, connect to your organization’s network, and open MediaKnow in your browser.
